Saturday Morning: Sports by the SeaThe Saturday program kicks off with an open-water swimming spectacle.
Event: Alpen Adria Swim Cup (International Swimming Cup)
Time: Starting at 11:00 AM
Location: Sirena Beach (below the Aminess Maestral Hotel)
What to expect: Novigrad is the only Croatian leg of this cup. Professionals will compete in distances from 1.5 to 5 kilometers, while the 250-meter and 500-meter tracks are adapted for children and recreational swimmers.
Following the excitement at sea, the atmosphere shifts to a warmer, family-friendly setting.
Event: Apple Day (organized by the "Zdravi Novigrad" association)
Time: From 4:00 PM onwards
Location: Community of Italians Novigrad (Zajednica Talijana)
What to expect: A traditional culinary competition in preparing apple dishes, alongside the sale of fresh fruit, authentic local products, and handicrafts. The entire event will be accompanied by a rich musical program featuring local musicians, singer-songwriter Davor Hačić, and the children's choir Le Vibrisse.
The weekend also brings a dynamic international energy straight to the heart of the old town.
Event: 10th Mediterranean Cup in Majorette Sport
Time: Saturday and Sunday (the main public program takes place on Saturday evening)
Location: Novigrad Sports Hall and Veliki Trg (Main Square)
What to expect: Fourteen teams from five European countries will perform around 200 choreographies.
Saturday's highlight for visitors: At 6:00 PM, an attractive majorette parade will move through the town toward Veliki Trg. This will be followed by the Novigrad Town Cup award ceremony at 6:20 PM, and a grand Gala Majorette Concert at 6:30 PM. The Sunday competition segment will take place inside the sports hall.
